One of my favorite images of God’s love comes from Hosea
“It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.”
Hosea 11:3
Now think about the image of a parent teaching a child how to walk. They wait patiently with arms open wide, always encouraging.
Do they get angry when their child falls? Do they laugh at them? Do they get frustrated? Do they get tired of waiting and just give up? No. And neither does God. There is NOTHING you can do that will stop Him from waiting, arms open wide, for you to walk to Him.
“Sell your postitions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
